Started working as a Chassis tech for John Reynolds in 1995, in 97 moved to Kawasaki WSB team as an engine builder. The year 2000 saw Simon at Castrol Honda WSB team again as an engine builder until 2003 when he became a self-employed engine builder and tuner until 2013. A short stint in the Oil industry later and Simon joined Ecosse in 2017.
Joined the Ecosse team back in 2014 and have been in the parts and service department since. Started off on a Honda 250 motocross bike when I was 12, at 16 I got my CBT and was tearing up the tarmac on a go slow 50cc. Since then I have had a Bandit 650, CBR600F and a Street Triple R. Finally worked my way up to my current bike which is a Honda CB1000R, hoping to move onto a Fireblade next or something more exotic like a Ducati Hypermotard. Been around bikes my whole life thanks to my dad who’s been riding since he was 17.
I started working at Ecosse in April 2017 in the parts department and I really enjoy it. I got my first Yamaha PW80 when I was 7. When I was 16 I got my first road bike which was a Aprilia Biaggi Rep Scooter, a year later I got a CH Racing/Yamaha 125 Super Moto which I got fed up of and decided to start racing. I raced a pre-injection r6 in the Scottish championship for 2014/2015 seasons.
